La bonne cuisine est la base du véritable bonheur (Good food is the foundation of genuine happiness). Auguste Escoffier, French chef and culinary writer.
NG Art Creative Residency will nourish you from dawn ‘til dusk with rustic and home cooked fare inspired by traditional Provencal gastronomy and flavours of the Mediterranean using seasonal and local ingredients. Passionate culinary extraordinaire Madame Ginsberg and local Provencal chefs will conjure up delectable creations using fresh produce from local farmers markets, delicious fare from the village fromagerie, boulangerie and boucherie, hand-picked fruits from the Pelerin terrain, and homemade chutneys and jams, to name but a few.
Sumptuous breakfast spreads of fresh croissants, baguettes, plump apricots, luscious figs, rosy red cherries, homemade jams and cheese, accompanied by tea and coffee, are awe-inspiring and will get your creative juices flowing.
At lunch time, you can indulge in home-cooked soups, slow-cooked stews, artisan bread, cheeses, charcuterie boards of saucisson and jambon de bayonne, and delectable salads, depending on season.
Twice weekly intimate dinners will take place in both the idyllic garden setting and country-style kitchen quarters. By bright summers night, moonlight or candlelight, you will feast on Provencal-inspired dishes accompanied by a nice drop from a local vineyard. This is a time to nourish oneself, share ideas, collaborate, and wind down after a long day in the field; en plein air or busy at work in the studio.
Other nights, you will indulge in local home-cooked fare and a glass of wine in a more casual setting, while reflecting on your creative endevours, and reveling in the still night air.
As the French saying goes, Mangez bien, riez souvent, aimez beaucoup (eat well, laugh often, love abundantly).
Local community gatherings with fellow creatives, garden parties, evening soirées, feasts for the senses, and dinners at local vineyards are also offered.
