We may catch glimpses within a frame, or perhaps encased within museum-like cases, these works are fresh and perfectly considered abstractions from sources of such familiarity and nostalgia. Lizzie Buckmaster Dove leads us on a path paved with the remnants of old books, their pages and covers and spines. Her love of language translates as two and three dimensional representations of her inner wonderings, guided by intuition and emotive presence.

Dove has been actively exhibiting for the last 11 years, both in Australia and internationally, in London and New York. Her works are highly sought after and she has become a favourite of the design and interiors media, with her work featured across multiple titles. Based in Coledale, rural New South Wales, Lizzie's practice reflects the clarity and sense of space she is surrounded by everyday.
